One last dinner

We had dinner with Minon, Jeremiah and their kiddos tonight for the last time and said our good-byes. I spent the day cleaning out space in our closet for Makenzie to use while we are gone and also in my vanity.  Gale went to get stuff to finish a few projects for the cabin and also built holders for dominos; so they don't fall over when you play Mexican Train.  We won't be playing for quit a while but others might appreciate them while we are gone.  I've been reading in Preach my Gospel about Jesus Christ, his purity, and the atonement.  The more I know about the atonement the more I know I don't know.  Even though I don't know everything I am so grateful to the Savior for his willing sacrifice for each of us.  He is such a sweet example to me that I can turn to whenever I have a question about my own behavior or attitude.   I also read in the Ensign (April) about the difference between Sin and Weakness.  We're just so hard on ourselves.  I hadn't realized that sin is deliberate disobedience to Gods commandments and weakness we all have and have to learn to overcome so that we can become strong.  What a greart lesson.

After dealing with the IRS, having two knees replaced a bone removed from a foot, mistakes at the mission office regarding Gales release from the Stake Presidency, fingerprints and FBI clearance, spending a whole day trying to fill out a visa form, Gale having kidney issues, being delayed and our visas not coming we are finally in the final countdown.  We are actually going to Portugal, and we enter the MTC in Provo, Utah in just a week.  We enter the MTC on July 6, 2015.We will be set apart as missionaries on Sunday.  Wow, we are actually going to be missionaries.  People keep talking about our travel but we are more interested in what we will get to do.  I love architecture so that will be a bonus but my true desire is the tasks we will be assigned. Working for the Lord full time has been my dream since childhood and now it is here.
